Hey all! I will be on vacation for the next two weeks without a computer, so there probably won’t be any new posts up on 213 Hoops during that time unless there’s breaking news.
I did also want to get some feedback from you all regarding potential changes to site content going forward. Unfortunately, due to a confluence of factors (my and Lucas now having full adult responsibilities, a decline in blogging popularity/traffic in favor of TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, and overall difficulty in coordinating content coverage being the main ones), 213 Hoops will most likely be moving away from our now 15-year-old (dating back to Clips Nation) standard of previews and recaps for all 82 regular season games. Instead, we have considered a number of ideas, including but not limited to:
- Previews/threads for all games, but no recaps
- Threads + recaps for all games, but no dedicated previews
- Individual game coverage for only “key” games, with most content shifting to a full week preview, weekly grades on players/coaches, and other longer form content
Let me know which of those three options is preferable, if you all have very strong preferences for the previous models, or if you have other ideas for how to make our coverage more sustainable and interesting. We do this all for you guys, so we truly value your feedback!
