He’s a better shooter, scorer, rebounder and passer, which opens up the Dallas offense. I can see them stealing a game if they get hot from 3. I just think Utah is easier to solve since Spider, although he seems to have improved his shot selection, is a multi-dimensional threat like Luka and you can see is loading up on him and daring the Jingles and Co to hit shots. At least there’s no Big Shot Joe to ISO us to death.

On the other side I feel like I fear Mitchell less then Luka , gobert/Porzingis can go either way but I think I’d rather piss off mitchell and the jazz by beating there ass and worrying less about revenge games in the future then pissing off luca who with the right upgrades to that team in the future could cause us problems.
Obviously these reasons are future based which do not matter so I’m good with either. Our minds been on Dallas for a while my as well keep it that way.
Also I dont think the clippers are worried either way, they might however have thoughts on which series our team can best build chemistry for the second round and which matchup at the same time we could get through quickly to rest players because like kawhi’s outlook, “ usually the healthiest teams wins it all”.
Gobert could be physical against us and in the second round if we get Denver Jokic would be similar, maybe playing the less physical more finesse team in Dallas will get the guys legs under em more Get less banged up and give em some calm confidence for there first round opponent?!

Here’s my logic. Mavs are locked into 7th seed so if Clipper finish 2nd they get the Mavs. However, the only way the Clippers can finish 3rd is to lose BOTH of their last 2 games (and Denver win both of theirs). But if Clippers lose to OKC that means OKC cannot finish any worse than 44-28 and since they win the tiebreaker vs. Jazz even if the Jazz win their last game they couldn’t finish in any higher than 6th. In other words if the Clippers finish 3rd the Jazz will by definition finish 6th.

So, we either get Jazz or Dallas in the 1st round… Who would we rather face?

So if Clips want them all they have to do is win 1 game (or Denver lose 1) and we get that 1st round matchup. If Houston wins tomorrow, as Lucas has pointed out previously, it’s probably in our interests to tank the game to keep Houston out of our playoff bracket. The we just have to beat OKC to get 2nd seed and the 1st round date with the Mavs, or lose to OKC and get 1st round date with Jazz (or possibly OKC if Jazz win tomorrow). By the time of tomorrow’s game Clippers will have a clear picture of the implications of the game and it will be interesting to see how they approach it… Really hoping for a Houston loss tomorrow as it gives us maximum flexibility.

No home court at altitude, no Bojan, and haven’t been very good in the bubble. UTA and DAL should be wins for the Clips, but both offers some reasons for concern. Just eye test, I feel like the Clips have done better against DAL this season, so I slightly lean that way.

At this point I’d actually much rather have the Lakers play Phoenix, given how hot they’ve been, and how young/fresh they’d theoretically be.
