LAL v Den: Really not much change from last year. Lakers might be a bit worse without Schroeder. The Lakers’ top 2 is not better than Denver’s top 2. Didn’t see much from the role players to suggest it’s a better unit than last year’s. I think this Lakers’ team is mid at best in the stacked West. Happy for Reggie Jackson. Had very solid minutes off the bench and schooled Lebron on a play where he stepped on his foot, tripped him, and then hit the 3 as Lebron hit the deck. Lakers were just outclassed when Jokic was on the court and were decent when he was off. I never felt that Denver was threatened in that game because I can’t recall many segments where the Lakers outplayed Denver in his 36 min on the floor (Den was +15 w/him on).

GSW v Phx: Phx was missing Beal, but they really didn’t look like world beaters vs GSW. GSW should’ve won the game. They just missed out on about 4 defensive rebounds in a key Q4 stretch. Cp3 looked pretty good for them, especially in Q3. Warriors have upside. Phx is going to be good but they really needed 2nd shots and some good playmaking from Booker at the end. GSW’s defense on the ball on Durant and Booker was actually pretty good in the 2nd half. When they get Draymond back, they’ll be a better unit. Klay can be a dumb basketball player at times.

I think the Clippers can beat any of the teams that played tonight.

Those were my thoughts as well. Greif always makes me feel optimistic. I feel like Law usually calls it how it actually is (not necessarily that Greif doesn't).

I think he fits well with Kawhi/PG as an outlet. A side or high screen and roll forces the defense to scramble to get the right single coverage or to double Kawhi/PG. They’re both so good at getting their shot off that they’re naturally going to draw people creating space for a KJ cut to the basket. If he knows how to find that space or to make a cut then the Clips can get a lot of layup/dunk opportunities. The key is to keep him moving to where he’s constantly a threat.
