I remember seeing him play with China I think in some Olympic qualifier tournament or something. I recall Yi Jianlian was clearly their best player, but Qi was the only other guy that was even familiar. Don’t think Qi really stood out over the rest of the guys on the team. Kind of scary if Qi is not even one of the best players on a team full of guys that have never sniffed the NBA. But yes, I’m basing that one like one random game that I can’t even remember who they were playing.

I figure if this rumor is true, it’s more as another shot in the dark camp invite. Even though he’s two-way eligible, I can’t even imagine him being deserving of that spot, but I guess it might be worth a look in preseason to see.

Can we get MBFGC to come over for preseason too?
