i think ibaka is an upgrade from using jmyke at the backup 5 because of his size particularly and his previous reps deep in the playoffs, but i get mourning the loss of jmyke. i agree i wouldve rather kept his contract than morris’s.

I feel like he rebounds and defends better than Ibaka. If we were able to keep JMG at the cost of losing MM and still got Ibaka, I’d be much happier than I am now. JMG would be a solid fit with the starters at the 4.

That Morris contract is going to be brutal. Any ideas of where we can maybe offload it before the deadline if Morris is playing well? Would Brooklyn maybe be desperate for him if they aren’t playing that well?

Also think Batum will probably play some at backup four.

Filing that Jamyke void is more important than adding a pg though & is still a position of concern.. That said I’d give them a B- thanks to the addition of Batum

If my desired trade goes down, either now or at the deadline, Clips win the title! As it stands now, I’m not sure I’d pick them to even come out the west

There’s so much potential there that it was a no brainer.. Doubt there’d even be a discussion if Glenn wasn’t a Michigan guy.. Coffey & Mann are better fits with the team due to their defense & Mann’s versatility

Assuming no improvement from doc, I’d have to give this off season a C/C+. Losing JMG and signing MM to this pretty bad contract are D- moves. Signing Ibaka helps offset those moves, but without a true pg, signing ibaka will not negate the loss of JMG enough to bump up the grade beyond a C/C+.

If Ty ends up fixing our offense and helps our younger guys to develop, I imagine the grade will be much higher and potentially an A. Doc was a fantastic recruiter. He was great at some other aspects of coaching as well. But his playoff failures put a hard cap on the team’s potential. We really don’t know how good this team would be in the right hands. If Lue ends up being the right coach, we could end up seeing much better ball movement. We might see Terrance Mann actually becoming a rotation piece. We could see Kennard develop into a legit WC starter. We could see Zu grow into a household name and a legit top 5 center. We could see the best ball movement the clippers have had since 06. If this ends up being the case, I don’t see why the FO wouldn’t get an A for their work the past couple of months.
