This. Absolutely what i do not want re: matchup with Hou. Why not? You are correct that our team matches up favorably to theirs. My primary issue is with the array of rotation options available for Doc to overcomplicate and obscure those most effective methods for matching the team up favorably enough to win out the series…
Perhaps instead matching our team up most similarly to their set rotation/roster construction, and allowing our team to replicate their 1way-focused, run + gun uptempo brand of defensively sloppy, potentially record-setting 3pt-chucking ‘small-ball,’ which was by the way upsettingly unsuccessful for Doc (and arguably Us more – as the fanbase) that most recent time around a few years ago, during our very winnable series vs HOU (which Clips also led decisively at one pt) but that the masterfully creative Doc squandered away with excruciatingly poor decision-making [or lack there-of] and non adjustment-setting/ neglectful team-adaption to utterly all employed strategies undertaken throughout duration of series by coach D’Antonio, massively failing at elevating team gameplay to a more effective level against a less talented, and less accomplished (in reg. season) team, which initially appeared to get stuck on the ropes and nearing a quick-elimination versus us following results of its initial several contests.

Much rather we not be forced into encountering ANY portions of that broad conflict during any initial round(s) of this postseason. Would ultimately be pretty ideal to decisively win any first matchup, and establishing a pervasive clubhouse tone for ongoing competitive success and a dialed-in focus/chemistry with our guys

My disappointment with the loss was: Why didn’t PG play? He can play back-to-backs.. I thought the whole point of resting Kawhi against Portland was to bring the all the available tools to bear and lock down a win vs Brooklyn. Maybe they changed their mind after beating Portland, but if they had kept the pressure up, they could officially shut it down starting now!

If Utah is already punting the rest of the bubble games, then maybe OKC takes it easy on Friday like they did tonight. So maybe it doesn’t matter.

Regarding seedings. I’m hoping that we get 2nd , Houston gets 3rd, Denver gets 4th. I think we match up with Houston well and Denver would give LAL fits.

I agree that he’s not likely to run, but it’s a good read. Cuban is thoughtful and offers good ideas about the NBA and the nation at large.
