Dude Greg Monroe in the 2nd round would be a fucking *STEAL*. Greg Monroe wasn’t anything spectacular, but he was a solid rotation-level player for a bunch of years – hard to get more than that out of even an early 2nd rounder. The problem w/ Greg Monroe was that Detroit took him at friggin #7 – ahead of Gordon Hayward, Al-Farouq, Paul George, Eric Bledsoe, and Hassan Whiteside. I’d be singing the FO’s praises though if Oturu has a career like Greg Monroe had.

They didn’t go from Avery to Wes Matthews. They went from Danny Green to Wes Matthews. And Danny was better last year until he was hurt in the playoffs–Wes is 34 with a major injury history these days. Still solid but not as good as Danny Green.

Saying that the Lakers have 15 starting caliber players is a joke. Literally, your trolling has reached a new level. I don’t get why Lakers fans make fake accounts on Clippers blogs to say dumb shit when you could just talk about your team with other Lakers fans?

You are way overvaluing Wes Matthews, for one. Trezz is a downgrade for them, frankly, as you yourself know more than anyone. Gasol is a good pickup.

And those warriors teams would beat these lakers in 5 games. I know it’s frustrating with how the season ended for us and them but the league is wide open and the west isn’t a done deal by any means.

You’re welcome to have that opinion just as I’m welcome to say that nothing is guaranteed – as we Clippers fans have seen over the years, sometimes all it takes is an injury at an inopportune time, or a random unlucky break, or any number of unpredictable events to ruin a season.

Also Zu will have trouble guarding AD, yea, but so does literally everyone in the league – that was at least kind of the whole point of getting Ibaka. Hopefully Lue is clever enough to utilize Zu’s strengths rather than overly focus in on his weaknesses.

That was fun to listen to on a Sunday night. Thank you. It’s always tough to let found money like Trez and JMG go but have to keep in perspective that neither is truly that special. Ibaka is better than the two of them together IMO. Whatever one might think about Lou overall he’s a basketball genius who made Trez what he is. Let’s not assume that the Lakers have anyone besides Lebron who can facilitate that. I could actually see Trez being a bust without Lou. Not being catty here just keeping that real. Oturu has solid fundamentals but is just not that explosive and plays below the rim too much for me. It’s like drafting Greg Monroe. Wtf? Batum could be an absolute coup. Sometimes guys just get depressed if they feel trapped in a bad situation but given a change of scenery sometimes start bringing it again. We saw this with Howard last season. I’ll bet he chooses the Lakers though:-(.
