Which of the following 9 players is PG better than (in no particular order). I can make an argument for all of these guys over PG, but I don’t think you can find 9 that PG is for sure better than. PG is probably a top 25 guy this season in my head.

I honestly think this has been the most frustrating, least enjoyable season I’ve ever had, and that’s saying something.

a) I can’t believe this is a throw away season, but you could end up being right
b) can’t believe you are saying Kawhi being a top 10 player is good news. He was top 3 when we got him and he’s 4 years older now and we haven’t won anything with him yet. PG also older, and almost firmly out of the top 20 at this point. I still think Kawhi is top 5, but I have no idea where he’ll be next year.
c) Bones is now our star point guard? sheesh!

We as fans want to squeeze every game we can out of our team but the front office adults and coaching staff have to do what’s best for the bigger picture. If we were fighting for a chance at the 3 seed and making a legit title run I think we would most certainly see Kawhi in b2b and a hero’s return from PG. But the smart play is to be cautious and let fate play itself out. We will likely lose all three of the next games. If for some reason there’s miracle and we steal one, AND we can beat the Lakers and Portland, AND the Suns have a reason to lie down the last game. THEN we might avoid the play in. I can’t imagine Kawhi has any interest in the play in so if that’s where we end up it will likely be a scrimmage type effort from him. f we win and move on then he would probably rev things up another notch.

The good news about this forgettable season is that Kawhi should still be a top 10 player come next season and PG has looked good enough to move for some assets if we need to. The biggest revelation appears that we may have landed a star point guard in Bones for the first time since CP3. Maybe he can be our Tony Parker with Kawhi as our Duncan and with full health make a serious run next year.

Now, with Morris out, we really need to focus on playing without PG for each remaining game.

And, our remaining healthy players can play at a high level — we all saw some great things against the Bulls (albeit, on a B2B game).

If he is ready to come back, and if we make the Playoffs and are still playing, then we can cross that bridge then.

It is crazy how each game is so important.

The medical staff and George himself will need to be very careful on how they move the chains here.

Like obviously he’s back to MVP-form now, but this isn’t the type of injury we can just assume will heal by the time the playoffs roll around. PG13 coming back too soon could be catastrophic – the only thing worse than losing in the 1st round would be losing in the 1st round and losing PG13 for a big chunk of next season too…
