Clips is usual go to is give thee ball to Leonard or George or Morris and clear out ala Doc and Vinny’s give the ball to CP and clear out / Weave and more Weave (dating back to Doc’s time) which I hardly saw from other coaches do in this year’s playoffs / Spray the paint, kick and swing (which has been so well read by their opponents this year) / Small ball instead of Wingstop. Prioritizing offense over defense (sitting Cov in favor of a one trick pony and not giving Mann enough minutes over Wall and RJ, until they got traded). It should be more of the same old same old legacies under such intransigent coach. These offenses are so bland.
Lue’s last presser sounded so much to be a farewell, perhaps he was prepared for his consequences. But Franks loves him forever!!
Me likes Dan Craig though.

Having high upside is great, but if you want to wait for a 19 year old to mature to a NBA rotation player, there isn’t that much time.

One of the Christopher brothers astutely commented that these drafted player do not have much time to make a mark — simply, another draft class in 12 months.

Just for fun, I looked back at the 2019 NBA Draft, and the Clippers did well with T. Mann, but not with Kabengele. Futures, reading tea leaves, throwing a bunch of files down the staircase and choosing what lands on the 7th step?

Either they trade him to us or he walks. If he were in the offing we could move Gordon’s contract, Terance and Coffey for him. Under those circumstances I would be willing to move Terance. There are probably some other similar deals to be made. I think similar math would work for DDR as well. Skillset overlap? No more than Booker and Beal.
