This will be pretty evident by early next season but the question right now is how can we factor him into the rotation for these playoffs? .

How can one make a true evaluation of it when the team as such has been fragmented by injuries all season (especially with PatBev being out for so many games)? Maybe this is why one cannot even acknowledge it as a “weakness” like the other things identified?

We’ve seen flashes of good team D here and there, but by my eyes, not on the same level of consistency that other teams have shown, Denver and the Lakers being two that come to mind. Again, I’m not sure how to even talk about it given that we haven’t had the personnel together, but it is a concern that I have.

But not for the better in my opinion. Now much of the action is just race down the court to the too-close three-point line and heave one up. Analytics has changed basketball in much the same way as it has baseball, which is now a distorted shadow of what that sport once was.

That being said, yea, he’s a generational talent – gotta admire the game.

Would love to see CP avoid a hammy and knock off the ESPN Golden Gooses.

I think the warriors going down like this should also have Laker lemmings questionIng just how “awesome” their win was over them. I’m going with Phoenix in that series after seeing this tonight. Booker is going to punish them with his midrange game.

Silver should abolish the conferences while he’s at it.

Looking forward to CP3 and co. wearing down LeBron, and Ja vs Mitchell is gonna be fire.

Almost Wished warriors would of beat lakers with the risk of them being in our bracket.
Grizz could of beat the lakers??
Lol
No we’re good lakers going 6-7 against suns if there lucky.
And grizz still playing with gritt and none of the current players ever played with gasol or zbo, amazing they still have the grinder couture!
Problem is I don’t see ja’s floaters working as well with Rudy in the paint. Ja’s outside shot is so-so, but hopefully they pull off a win or two or at the very least bang up some of the better jazz players !

I guess this goes hand in hand with being able to score in other ways (ie. in the paint and getting to the line). So if this team is going to continue to rely on the 3 ball, one bad slump can mean an early exit. Especially you sometimes see with role players, or guys that haven’t seen much playoff action get taken out of the game on the highest stage (or maybe it’s just my PTSD of seeing guys like JJ Redick, Barnes, and Crawford take massive steps back in the playoffs).

Sure it’s nice to know you have some of the best isolation scorers in the league on your side, but still think to get to where the Clips want to go, they’ll still need the role players like Morris, Jackson, and Batum shooting 40%+ from 3 like they did in the regular season. Will be really interesting what we get from Serge off the bench as well.

Really, really hoping the playoff struggles in the past were a function of one Doc Rivers. Interesting to be going into the playoffs with a new coach for the first time since Vinny Del Negro in 2013. 2013, when Chauncey was on the roster, not in the booth or on the coaching staff; Lamar Odom was playing and not boxing D-list celebrities; Grant Hill was still playing, not the owner of the Hawks.
