The players mentioned had to have had an opportunity. Would Lue have given them a chance to prove themselves? We all know the answer is a BIG FAT NO.

Rondo, John Wall, and Westbrook result from George’s meddling. And he was enabled by Lue the entire time.

We have 3 late picks (possibly a 4th, Flowers) who can become contributing players. Kobe, Jordan Miller, and Cam Christie all need a shot. Harden and Leonard no longer have the clout to push their personal favorites.

I’m looking forward to watching our new Clipper team.

The Sixers asked for PG13 for Harden straight up and the Clippers scoffed. Hindsight being 20-20, they should’ve taken that deal. It’s understandable that they went all-in to try to get a championship, but giving away more assets and stripping depth was a bad move.

Not calling it lazy, per se, but I’m sure he, as a superstar, felt he was entitled to make that gamble figuring he needed to conserve himself for his elite scoring.
It was frustrating to watch. Even superstars have to show effort on D.

I don’t comment often. But I was compelled to say.. reading this really really made me more mad than I already was. I already knew it, but now that it’s actually written out all on one piece.. it just hits different. Lol. You couldn’t be more right on all the points from drafting and just a lack of getting pieces in the margins. I really had high hopes for our front office when LF moved over and all the support FO guys we had, including West.. Just seemed we were really primed to do really good things. Even the league took notice and said we were one of the top organizations. Year in and year out. Hate to say it.. but I think we need to replace LF? He seems like a great dude but daaaamn..
