Hoping the line up would be Mann, PG, KL, Nico, Zu – all two way players since D feeds the O usually for the Clips to be successful. I mentioned this line up in an earlier comment thread but PG sat out that succeeding game and MM rounded out the starters – the first game when Mann and Nico started which was an unexpected / refreshing change by Lue. Based on game flow of the starters, hoping they would be closing line up also. But if Zu needs to sit, hoping RoCo would be called.

I’d like to see Mann, PG13, Kawhi, Batum, and Zu for the starting lineup – we can afford to work MM slowly back into the lineup w/ Batum playing well (on defense at least) and RoCo showing he needs to be given minutes. But given how Ty’s coached this season we’ll prob get 35 min for MM w/ him playing the final 10 min of the 4th again…

Looks like PG might be back tomorrow. I’d be ok if he sat out the rest of the month and got right for Feb, but if he can play, great. Morris looks like he’ll be back as well. So I think the starting 5 might be Mann, PG, Kawhi, Morris, Zu. 2nd unit will probably be Reggie, Powell, Roco, Batum, Brown (though I’d like to see Coffey in there if they go ‘small’).

I’d like to see Lue align the match ups in the 2nd half more effectively. Find the hot hands, the favorable match ups and exploit them.

With you as to Wall and Reggie but think ur underestimating the value, just a bit, of Mook (a reliable starting nba scorer), Coffey (young and with adequate minutes, can be a good 3 and D bet), and Boston (sky’s the limit — albeit at some point). Would they bring a Vuc? — that’d be a coup, but a Lopez quality player — maybe?? When I think of the Lakers, I really think a guy like Wenyen Gabriel would have fit the bill — Hart for sure. But if we keep Luke and Norm, I think our pieces would bring back a more than serviceable player.

I mean if we’re keeping Luke and Norm, that leaves who, like Wall, Reggie, MM, Boston, and Coffey? We realistically aren’t getting a talent upgrade w/ just those guys as trade pieces.

I wish that Zu had better hands and touch, but he’s what we have. Think about all the great Warrior and Bulls teams — did they have such a dominant center? Isn’t it more a foundational guy to play defense?
We’ve really got to focus on this team defense — that’s where we’re going to get our mojo.

Reggie’s 5 TOs were pretty dreadful but he was really disgusted with himself at times which is a good sign that he really was trying hard to be better and impress. He’s so different from JW — no kamikaze drives and actually will get the ball to shooters effectively. We gotta use him.
