I know a lot of people have been curious as to my (and Lucas’) thoughts on the Kawhi Leonard Aspiration story. The Clippers’ 101-99 loss the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 was simply too devastating to do a blow-by-blow written recap for, so instead Lucas and I talked about it for 75 minutes in the latest episode of The Lob The Jam The Podcast.

We discussed the Clippers’ heartbreaking loss to the Nuggets in Game 4 at home, tying the series at 2-2 heading back to Denver. We went over the ins and outs of the game, debated the importance of the 4th quarter run that nearly stole the game for the Clippers, and lamented the unfortunate “make or miss” elements of the game of basketball – as well as looked forward to the back half of the series and what adjustments the Clippers might make.

TLTJTP: Clippers Win Over Jazz, 116-112

Mike Jaglin and I recorded a new episode of The Lob, The Jam, The Podcast after watching the Clippers trounce the Wolves and Blazers. The team followed up an embarrassing loss on Sunday with two blowout victories. We discussed the team’s emotional response to a bad loss and broke down our favorite aspects of their two blowout wins. Then, we discussed the decision to decline Mfiondu Kabengele’s third-year team option and looked at the team’s upcoming schedule.

Today, we have an exciting new episode of The Lob, The Jam, The Podcast: part 1 of our Clippers 2021 season preview, featuring special guests from the Clippers beat.

To get a comprehensive look at the team’s upcoming year, I talked to the people who know the Clippers best–the beat writers who have spent years attending practices, talking with staff, traveling with the team, and visiting the locker room before and after games. On today’s episode, I talked with LA Times reporter Andrew Greif, Orange County Register reporter Mirjam Swanson, and Clutchpoints reporter Tomer Azarly, all of whom have multiple years of Clipper coverage under their belts.

I asked each reporter the same slate of questions:
1. What’s the one trend or storyline you’re most focused on tracking this season?
2. Who is the player you are most excited to watch this season?
3. What’s one hot take or bold prediction you have for the upcoming year?
4. Where do you think this Clippers team will ultimately end up?
