If PG13 can talk his best friend PatPat into sacrificing for an improved roster we might see something. I could possibly see Lou for Rondo as Lou seems to appreciate the cuisine in Atlanta, but I’m not all that comfortable with moving him unless he’s OK with it, because he gave this team a discount.

But those salaries don’t match. The trade would have to be Kennard+Mann+Fi+Oturu and even than I’m not sure if it covers the financial requirements. After that, as Hann pointed out to me, we can’t just pay for 3 new bodies to meet the minimum roster requirements.
Once that dawned on me I tampered down pretty much any trade expectations whatsoever.

Yup & this goes back to last season.. The worst part is that most are live ball turnovers, which we all know those are the ones that kill you

Despite how much I believe in this team the one lingering thing that haunts me is that elite defenses will blitz PG, Kawhi, Batum etc and turn us over. So the conversation about a reliable floor general rears its head again. George Hill isn’t that guy. If Rondo still has it he is. Lonzo at 6’5” may be a coup if all the planets line up. But then what do we move for him? The low hanging fruit is Lou and change but if Kennard is still trying to find himself come trade season moving him straight up might be the better short term gamble. I like Luke and am hoping he starts catching fire. But we need to win THIS season. Lou could hit a series winning buzzer beater and that’s not something to value lightly. Just throwing thoughts out there.

Yeah, playmaking turnovers happen when he’s trying to make ambitious reads/passes, but he seems to pick up a lot that are just being loose with the ball.

He’s gonna have more turnovers since he has the ball in his hands ALOT more but it’s the careless ones that bother me.. Once he cleans that up his turnovers will get cut in half

Luke just missed shots.. Had a few lapses on defense but they all did.. Wish we got more Luke & a bit less Lou tonight

Paul George: for every assist tonight he had a turnover. He’s averaging the most TO’s of his career and is climbing up the league leader list in that category. Season just started so he has time to reel that in, but It’s a little worrisome that after last nights 6 he didn’t make a statement by displaying more control. Obviously he is otherwise playing like a true superstar and making me look like an idiot for losing hope in him after last season, buuuut turnovers my dudes. Rooting for him to pretty up that part of his game

Another solid win and back to our rightful spot at the #1 seed. Let’s keep it rolling!

Couldn’t ever get separation from a feisty OKC with SGA and Muscala having revenge games against us. And Dort shooting like he was Steph Curry. And with our shots not falling in the 2nd half the offense got a little stagnant with too much iso. But at least the iso play wasn’t mostly settling for contested jumpers, but instead PG and Kawhi attacked that paint and got to the foul line to maintain order and stave off an OKC comeback.

Aides from the poor 3 point shooting Kawhi and PG put in dominant performances and the supporting cast was solid aside from Luke who was gawd awful out there tonight. Serge had his best game of the season and Batum continues to be clutch AF and just does literally EVERYTHING right when he’s on the court.
