Wouldn’t be the worst thing to have Denver lose this one and then if Clips can take care of business tomorrow against Brooklyn we can clinch 2nd seed, then we can give let Denver win our game against them to help keep them in 3rd seed and decide whether we want to give OKC a loss if needed to keep Houston in the 4-5.

I think Doc’s calculus in resting Kawhi is to prioritize as close to a sure win as possible in the Nets game Sunday and thereby clinch at least 3rd seed. If my calcs are correct the only way Clips can drop to 4th seed is to lose out. So let’s try to bank a high probability win against Nets on Sunday. If we decided to play Kawhi today and rest him Sunday it puts us at risk of potentially going 0-2 this weekend and potnetially being in a must win situation against 2 tougher teams who are themselves battling for playoff seeding… I know I for one will breathe much easier if we can at least split this weekends games 1-1.
