What is the point of switching everything on Luka or doubling him above the 3pt line? He’s not a threat out there. Luka is no Stephen Curry. He shoots under 33% from 3. There’s no reason to pressure him, let alone double him, above the 3 point line. Let the man shoot. Go under the screens. What’s with this undeserved respect Luka gets? The guy can’t make free throws. He’s a weaker, non-athletic LeBron with worse shooting and worse defense.

Seems to me that this season has so far gone pretty much as imagined. Talented and feisty team but not special in the absence of superstar Kawhi. One of the things I don’t like about the NBA is how its CBA hamstrings all teams by not allowing any player to take a hometown discount. See NFL GOAT Tom Brady regularly taking less money so that Belichick could sign valuable supporting players. In contrast, NBA teams are always forced to pay the big dogs most of the money, leaving relative scraps for the other players. This team needs a talent upgrade, but I don’t see that happening this season.

Nah I agree with just about all of this. Morris was a very solid offensive option for the Knicks, but that was three seasons ago now and he’s not the same player anymore.

I just rewatched the 4th quarter, and everyone on both teams were pretty gassed at the end of regulation. The Clippers and Mavs are both very equally matched teams. Don’t be surprised if we see them again in the first round of the Playoffs.
