I think clips should keep kawhi at all costs. you won’t find someone better. the fact that the league doesn’t want kawhi on the clips and teams are desperately trying to trade for him is a sign clippers shouldn’t trade him. imo.

Feels like we wait for the Spurs to hi-jack the trade but they don’t bite yet.
Wemby/Castle/Harper with Kawhi will be terrifying in the playoffs.
But They can wait and get better themselves. So no wonder they don’t move for now.

It’s what a lot of guys go through. I don’t think it’s fair to paint the Clippers as doing anything out of the ordinary for a guy like Benn. He’s coming off his rookie deal and maybe they couldn’t come to an agreement on an extension. Either Benn plays out his deal on the QO, or he finds a better deal elsewhere. I always thought playing out on the QO was a very real possibility for Benn given the Clippers fear of long team deals.

Will be interesting if he can get like a 4 year offer elsewhere, I think has a real chance of Clippers not matching.

This is true, but teams consistently talk themselves into big deals at the deadline. Hopefully the Raptors are smarter than that, and put something together that will work. I’m a little pessimistic that the Raptors will pony up too much. I feel like a deal centered around CMB and a 1st might be acceptable for both sides. If the Clippers can get more than that, I would be happy.
