yeah if he had a streak of bad games sure id think about it. but he’s on the upswing right now

Always hard to part with a fan favorite to begin w/, and especially difficult to sell high, but what we could get back is gonna be less valuable if we were to trade him during a slump. Plus, his hot streak has probably put the Clips in a better position in case they find a player hey like, since now they won’t be desperate to unload Lou.

Rozier is having a career year, and is likely currently favored by the fanbase to stick around and help push their team into the east playoffs for a first time in many years…

Meanwhile Graham is a nice, young, arguably underrated point guard who is losing his place in their starting lineup to Lamello Ball sooner or later.

He’s had a bit of a shooting slump this year, but he proved last year that he can shoot efficiently (from deep) and dish the ball around q better than any of our current array of G facilitators. .

Not sure how we’d matchup on a deal, but maybe Oturu would get their attention as a starting point. Not sure whether I’d like to give away Oturu yet, myself seeing as he has some pretty good-looking potential to be a nice big in a few years , but we all know it certainly takes talent to get talent back in this league (unless your the Knicks trading for Derek Rose).

just not going crazy to trade lou right now, but yeah if he had a streak of bad games sure id think about it. but he’s on the upswing right now, and to me hes still been a positive contributor while his shot has been off.

Lou among our other peripheral players is kind of an unknown when it comes to what he can deliver while swimming with sharks. If he reverts back to 3 for 11 and five turnovers and Zu is five fouls and single digits in points and rebounds against the Jazz we will have to make the tough decision to part ways for an upgrade. George Hill is not that upgrade. We either push our chips in on scary terry or move Luke, Kabs and picks for Rondo. Let’s take this back up after the Utah scrimmages.

you hit the nail on the head with lou, his playmaking has become of increasing importance especially with kennard unable to quite make that leap into a consistent playmaking guard. with a healthy rotation, his defensive liabilities are more easily absorbed with our rotation and the fact that lue has already acknowledged wanting to play less of our defensive deficient guards together so early in the season, something that doc never seemed to completely grapple. i don’t know if hill is really an upgrade, especially since he hasn’t had much of a sample size this year.

all this aside, im as excited about this team’s prospects as ive ever been. just hoping the health is there..

That being said, I still have some concerns about the Lou/Reggie/Kennard trio, even though Lue has abandoned that lineup. I feel like there’s a lot of skill overlap there, but if Lou is going to play like this George Hill (whenever he gets healthy again) is actually probably a net downgrade for the Clippers. Yea Hill’s defense is leaps and bounds better than Lou, but his driving and playmaking is leaps and bounds worse, and the Clips don’t have anyone outside of PG13 and Kawhi who can get to the basket like Lou can.

If Luke had taken the leap and made it look like Lou was expendable that’d make it easier to get wanderlust on the trade market, but as things stand I legitimately can’t pinpoint a trade for the Clippers that seems feasible. Backup G/SF, and 3rd PF/C seem like the most pressing areas of need, but I’m not sure who would be a realistic target for those spots (it’s not like the Clips have the assets to get a guy like Harrison Barnes…).
