It was clear no one on the floor in the 4th could make a shot. Kawhi was being double and triple teamed and pg13 was throwing up airballs when he wasn’t carelessly turning the ball over. Meanwhile the leagues leading 3 pt shooter and T Mann shooting 67% for the game languished on the bench.

Also, it was beyond obvious Giannis had completely figured out Zu’s defense yet no defensive assignments were changed until Zu fouled out.

Easily winnable game squandered away by an unwillingness to make simple, obvious changes.

Do better.

I also think this sends a good message about load management—even though I’m not down on Kawhi for being careful. By any eye test Kawhi has just been unreal—some calling him the best player in the league of late. But he just hasn’t played enough to be in consideration.
