Yeah I think the Pacific Division is the most stacked in the NBA this year, will be a bloodbath.

I just don’t think the Raptors have enough shooting or creation to be very good.

I don’t know if the Nets have enough creation or offensive juice unless Bridges makes another leap, but they could be good.

I don’t disagree on the Thunder. I think they’re one year away from being really dangerous but it could happen this season.

I have no confidence in the Clippers, even if they should be at least pretty good in the regular season.

Seems like every year there’s a team in the East that just wins games despite their playoff ceiling. The Hawks have been this team a lot in recent years the Knick and Cavs were last year. I think the Nets could be that team this year. Just a lot of quality players in their prime who will be healthy and show up and play. Bridges is the real deal. The Celtics are the modern day Stockton Malone Jazz. Two great players and always a great cast surrounding them but won’t quote get it done. Lilliard will get to Miami and it will likely be them i the finals. But for all the Harden drama dogging the 6ers right now that team even without him with Nurse as the coach is uber dangerous. Not counting them out.

Your analysis of the West is pretty spot on but I’m going out on a limb and pick the Thunder to be the emerging young dynasty and challenge for a top seed. Shai is a top 5 player and leader, Giddy was looking like a top ten player toward the end of last season and Chet is the real deal at both ends. Williams boys are bad ass too. I think that given their talent, youth, energy, and joy to show up and play every night they will have a gaudy record.

Watched the replay of Clippers/Lakers from last January when we were at peak form and was reminded of things both good and bad. Terance and RoCo were both fantastic and then we added Russ and it scrambled a very spirited rotation away. We still have all those players on board and since it will all come down to kawhi and PG’s health anyway am wondering if adding Harden is really worth giving away much. Perhaps it would allow us to win more regular season games and rest Kawhi and PG but I’m still not convinced TL is that great of a season manager. I think the tinkering could lead to disaster and be demoralizing again. Then we got four weird old men on the roster next summer and more confused than ever.

Raps are so weird. Their Big 3 (Siakam/OG/Barnes) are fetching 1st round picks in potential trade scenario like crazy.
But they can’t win games together, even Nurse can’t save them.
It looks like simple strategy like surrounding them with shooters should be effective, but who am I to know how things work.
Back to the West: I think Nuggs will be in WCF. But other team will be a complete mystery.
I won’t be surprised if the West Standing table can turn upside down in the next few years.
But if I have to choose right now for the other West Finalist, it will be from Pacific Division. Suns/Warriors/Lakers/Clips will fight for that spot. And team with the better health from their main guys will be there.
And I just saw the clips of Brogdon in his rookie years terrorizing Bron & Kyrie’s Cavs. I can’t help but thinking about our rookies this year.
Brown will be a surprise addition. Dude is a guard in BIG wing’s body. Miller might seems quiet in SL but his playstyle is so physical even with his rather skinny frame.
It will be fun, let’s see how it goes.
