But the problem with Kawhi and PG are that they ARE NOT leaders, and we need a star that can be that. The reason why the Raptors won, aside from pure luck and being in the Eastern Conference, was that Lowry was their team leader, while Kawhi, Ibaka, Gasol, VanVleet and all of the rest followed Lowry and Nick Nurse to a championship and were inpsired by them to play better. PG didn’t do that. Nor did Kawhi. Instead, they weren’t willing to get the team’s spirits up even if they were on the sidelines. Our talent alone wasn’t enough to get past the 2nd round, and it won’t be any different this year. The underdog team we had before Kawhi and PG had more fight in them than this current team. Main point, we need a Lowry type of player, and PG and Kawhi aren’t that.

If possible, we should try to trade PG for players and/or picks (like for a Lowry) because we can’t risk him going into another slump again like he did this past season or him having issues with injuries or personal troubles. Same with Lou.

I’m not trying to ignore your argument here, as I agree that the lineup is still decent. I have also been one of those people that have complained about the new changeup since Doc got fired and we hired Lue. However, I only complain because I think we can still do better, and it doesn’t help when we lose key role players like Green or pointlessly trade for players in the draft that we don’t need (Oburu).

Y’all need to stop trippin. I get as riled and negative as anyone but this shit is ridiculous. We have a starting five of Kwai, PG, Zu, MM and Bev with Kennard coming off the bench and this will get even better. Please. Injuries will as always play an enormous role in all of this too.. I knew Klay and/or Steph would go down and so will KD/Kyrie. The odds are overwhelming that lebron or AD will pull up lame at some point and I think we are odds on to stay healthy. I expect we will round things out with solid point guard and big rotation whatever that is. No more street clowns. Just business. Kawhi and PG will do the rest. Chill.

According to @ChrisBHaynes, Dwight thought he had a $3M offer from the Lakers, but when he agreed, the Lakers said they’d need to “speak with upper management and confirm… that it was just an offer concept”. They never responded, and Dwight ended up taking $2.6M with the 76ers.

So…they basically planned to wait until they can find out whether or not other centers like Ibaka/Baynes join them, while they gave Dwight promise? If Ibaka had joined them, they would’ve said Dwight “Sorry… forget us. Bye bye” ?
I guess, basically, even before the free agency starts, they’ve been calling a bunch of players around the league and said “We need you! We gonna offer you $XX million! Please wait!! Pleeease!!” and at the same time they’ve forced their current Laker FAs to wait.

I remember, last off-season, there was a report that said Marcus Morris gonna sign with Lakers. But they never did sign him so I was like “What happened? Why don’t they sign him already?” Apparently, Lakers waited Demarcus Cousins and gave him money. Morris was like “What!? I’m not gonna play for that little money!” then signed with Spurs…. but something happened and Morris parted ways with the Klutch sports and he signed with Knicks.
