Who is better than 2/17 that deep into the draft? I’m not asking rhetorically. I’m asking sincerely. How many teams are better than that drafting in the 25 and up range?

I feel like we’re going in circles. Imagine I told you I played the lottery 200 times and still haven’t won the jackpot. You’d say, yeah, because the odds of winning the lottery are 1 in several hundred million. You saying that we are 2/17 in drafting provides no context. You’re assuming there were tons of better picks at each of those 15 misses and that every team in the nba is consistently nailing those picks. Go back to those drafts and point out the teams that are consistently getting the better players after us. How many of them are there?

They aren’t even remotely similar. Maxey is like if you took Mann’s weaknesses (shooting, handles, creating his own shot) and turned them into strengths, and if you took his strengths (defense, rebounding) and turned them into weaknesses.

They’re 2/17. That’s abysmal. I don’t expect them to be perfect or even bat .500. But batting .117 is awful.

I think what I’m saying is that given where we drafted, it’s not abnormal to have as many misses as we do, especially considering our hits have been solid-amazing. We’ve been a really solid team since 2014. Maybe as a clippers fan, you’re not used to not having early draft picks for a decade.

Maxey is better and more consistent , I’d play them together all-day and not sweat it
