Disappointed this fell through. Brogdon better play like half the season next year or it’ll again be the Clippers doctors getting in the way of good basketball (I.e. Michael Porter).

At first I was kind of disappointed the Clips just didn’t take Porzingis for themselves, especially with the strong hints of a CP reunion. I would’ve taken CP and Porzinigis over Brogdon. But with Porzinigis off the table, the tradeable PFs on the market seems dwindling. And now with CP off the table too, Clips are still just left with Morris and EJs contracts and a draft pick I know they’re going to screw up.

I guess I’ll have to leave my opinions open until after the draft and other moves are made. Can’t help but feel like they let an opportunity slip through their fingers.

When you have dead money like Morris and EJ on the books, I think a guy like Simmons makes sense as a high upside gamble.

Think it will be a last resort though. Lots of other moves to try and make before that.

Whelp, CP3 to Golden State to backup Steph. I’m amazed they sent Poole out to get him, but it gets them off his contract in the long run.

Some noise about PG13 to the Knicks, but I’m not really that interested in their guys. I guess the plus side would be that PG13 is out of the West, but I’d *much* rather have Simons and (assuming he’s there) Scoot than some combination of RJ Barrett, Toppin, and/or Julius Randle.

Just picture CP slowly walking the ball down the court and holding it until there are 3 seconds and then driving straight into traffic, all while PG, Leonard and the rest of the guys are standing around watching.

Your hypothetical has always been our hope. It would be rich if CP came home and was the missing link to solving the 213 era roadblocks to a Championship. Damn, starting to sound optimistic again. Somebody throw some cold water in my face.

If we’re not blowing it up I’m still holding out hope that we can land CP for cap relief. I know there are a million reasons to talk ourselves out of it but Kawhi and PG would absolutely be the best tandem of weapons he’s ever had to work with. I believe they could waltz up the court and score at a shocking rate. This would afford us a great regular season but I can’t guarantee it wouldn’t all break down in the playoffs. If they aren’t straining themselves to produce and the team is deep it might just all work out.

I liked this trade but if there are injury issues, then you’d rather not deal with that with this current roster.

Still preferred to get a couple more picks in early second round range. This draft is too deep to pass, especially between 25-40 range.
It might not align with the team’s plan but building organically via drafts picks / talent development program are still a good plan. Just ask DEN & MIA.
Tomorrow is gonna be wild. I hope it work out the best for us.
