Kind of got this weird feeling that we will be players in this whole KD/Kyrie mess. Lucas kept after it tonight on the podcast too, and putting attachments aside we really are in a powerful position to make a move. Bottom line is would we move PG for KD? He's the closest thing the Nets could possibly get back other than Ingram and you know KD won't go to NOLA. Throw in our two 1st rounders and we have other valuable assets like Norm too if we had to take back a Joe Harris contract. It would be kind of heartbreaking but I think this FO might not be able to refuse if proffered.

really good deal for the Clips to keep this to a 2 year deal. I feel like it was rumored to be more a 3yr/$30M deal, which is kind of what I expected. With Batum being already 33, it is unlikely his next deal at 35 years old is in the $10M range.

Curious how his game ages, really feels like he has the skillset to play any position, and even if his athleticism wains, he’ll still be able to be a productive player based on his basketball IQ. I mean already mostly a PF, but I really feel like he can play the center position. He’s always in the right position to front the post, and just awesome at those deflections of the entry pass. Just depends on if his body can take that for long. Even though he gives up some bulk than playing Morris as center, I was always more confident when I saw Batum on the opposing big man.

Wasn’t worried about him leaving… still nice to see it done regardless.

Also good to see the FO is not forced to overpay rolecplayers because they have no other choice (see Austin Rivers and Jamal Crawford). I do expect a moderate trade soon to consolidate some of this ridiculous depth.
