I think if we’re signing a guy from this list, it’s for 1 of 2 reasons:

1) We’re signing him to replace Noah, not Trez, and Trez isn’t gonna come for a 3rd string role.
2) We’re signing him to be our new backup, but in that scenario it’s because we’re using the full MLE elsewhere on an impact contributor (like Gallinari or Dunn), which hard caps us and means we likely can’t afford to utilize Trez’s bird rights.

I don’t think it should be viewed as a foregone conclusion that Trez does not come back. He was disappointing in the playoffs, but let’s not pretend he didn’t contribute a lot to this team in the regular season. If the contract demands are reasonable (ie. tradeable), I don’t see a reason to let him go for nothing.

If you’re just talking having the most talented roster going into next year, which is what you would want from a team looking to win a championship, Trez is miles above anyone listed here.

I keep imagining a Trez S&T scenario for Horford though. A reunion with Doc and Morey in Philly, and hopefully a better fit with the rosters. I don’t even think Philly could do it if they wanted, given the hard cap that comes with a S&T, but also I think they would want to see what Doc can do with Horford. I think they still hope Horford can start at PF, and wouldn’t trade him for a guy that is really only useful as a backup to Embiid. But if they could cut a year off the salary they owe Horford, that hast to be a little appealing.

See the first three players staying with there teams , hernangomez and Cauley stein imo are easier to gets.
But plumlee seems like the most dependable on what your going to get in the floor and in the lockeroom.
So I vote for plumlee ! Hoping it’s gasol for the minimum though!
