He was a career like 32% shooter from 3, this year suddenly became a knockdown 3-pt shooter at nearly 40%. Will be interesting if he can continue shooting the ball that well. Guys like Austin and Matt Barnes on the Clips had like one great year shooting the ball, but weren’t able to keep up those percentages over multiple season.

All this talk about him being a bad defender, I’m not entirely convinced. Yeah, he’s undersized playing the 5 and especially so when going against Boban. However, I believe he was top 5 in taking charges. The dude sacrifices and is one of the hardest playing guys out there.

Defense is a skill like anything else, and Trez just isn’t good at it. He doesn’t sense rotations or help like the best NBA defenders do.

Was Schroder more valuable to his team? Maybe so, but who was the better player? I think Trez. He’s not as valuable to his team as Dennis is to OKC simply because LAC has the better starters
