Oh I don't think this really changes too much against the Lakers (but I'm famously low on Morris).

Just not a great start to a season where the Clips really need health and reps.

Must I remind people that we beat the Lakers with Harkless?

The team I support in Greece, once won a final four (semifinal and final) of the greek cup playing with 6 players. 40 minutes of basketball with 6 players, against superior opposition.

The will to win and fighting spirit is much more important than any individual absences.

We beat the lakers last year without AD so no excuses , hopefully clippers give em there all and let the cards lay where they lay and I’ll be happy.

One of the most annoying parts following this team is they never give clear information about the health status. It was like that the whole last season with all the injuries and then the bubble late arrivals caused by positive covid tests (they acted like they wanted to hide it as much as possible).

Now with Morris, at first it was “missing one preseason game”, then “missing another”… Now it’s “missing the opener”. All these with “soreness”. I would not be surprised to see Morris missing all games in December and beyond.

Maybe it’s a premature judgement but it looks familiar to the last year already. When Morris is back, there is a good chance someone else is on the sidelines with precautious or whatever. Are we going to hear “we didn’t have a chance to find a chemistry together” excuse again?

Btw, extended “knee soreness” does not sound very optimistic for a 31-year old, who just signed a massive 4-year deal.

I’d like them start Serge and Zu together against the Lakers assuming it’s Gasol and AD up front for them. I hate to lose depth but this is as good an opportunity as any to take a look at that tandem.
