I know you touched on his contract situation a bit but what can the Clippers offer him? Is there a limit to what they can offer him, in terms of years & salary?

My biggest take away was Reggie Jackson being referred to as a fringe all-star. How far his star has fallen. I do remember he was viewed as way too good to back up Russell Westbrook in OKC, and when he left for Detroit he looked like a solid starter, but still paid too much. I don’t remember him being in the all-star conversation, but it is the east and definitely recall some years they had to stretch to find an all-star.

I checked in on the SB Nation Detroit Bad Boys blog from time to time after the Blake trade (really intelligent, passionate, clever conversations, I joined in sometimes). They talked about Kennard quite a bit, but he was new and young. They seemed to like him as I recall, I don’t remember much beyond that. Was surprised to find him on the Clippers. The FO liked him enough to trade for him, so I figure he’ll do well here.

Nothing new, for me, but a good read nonetheless.. I will say that he’s nowhere near the bad defender that folks make him out to be.. He’s not great, but like I’ve said before & was reiterated here, he competes defensively.. Let’s also remember those Pistons teams he was on were HORRIBLE & were bad on both ends.. He’s a smart player so he’ll fit in fairly well on both ends

Like many have said, folks want players to speak but once they speak THEIR truth, they get killed! You can’t have it both ways, although I don’t like hearing PG talk lol.. But in regarding this, I have no issues with what they said cuz it’s ALL TRUE! + neither said Doc was the only issue.. We also need to remember that Doc gets ZERO blame from the media so I love that they said what they said.. That said, the pressure just magnified! We’ll see how they deal with it

That’s not at all what these guys are saying. They are just honing in on how they felt doc misused them. PG and MM want the world to know that they are better than how they performed last year.

I don’t know why they don’t just let their game speak for itself. If Doc really was the problem to their individual performances and Lue the solution, it should be clear by February.
