Yea, Lou going to grab a bite to eat indoors was dumb, but not anywhere near as dumb as “going to a strip club for a lap dance after a funeral.” Here’s hoping he’s mature enough to realize he isn’t being victimized here – the NBA has gotta do what it’s gotta do to try to keep the players and staff safe. Basketball-wise he looked spry in the first scrimmage, so I think he’ll be ok for the rest of the season/playoffs as well.

For what it’s worth, while I believe the initial quarantine (in which everyone from all 22 teams was quarantined, and only for 2 days) followed those “stay in your room” rules, I think I read somewhere that these longer re-entry quarantines come with a little more flexibility: no practice or indoor common spaces, but freedom to go outside while maintaining a 25ft distance from others.

So my guess is that in addition to games/tv/music in his room, Lou can take walks around the campus and might even be able to swing solo fishing trips, etc.

My first thought on seeing the headline (not on this site) was “What an idiot.” Next thought: “Why the hell are strip clubs open anywhere during a pandemic?” So he was there to pick up food and not for a lap dance. Still not a good look. Magic City’s site says it’s actually open for dine-in. During a pandemic. Masks probably not required either, given the state of affairs in Georgia.

Lou had already left the bubble to go to a funeral, which was undoubtedly at higher risk than picking up takeout at a quarantined restaurant.

Lou is also a way better player than Caruso, which is what Trudell was talking about.

Quarantine means quarantine. No practice or contact with the team until he’s cleared. He stays in his room and brought food, etc. JJ did a pod at the start of the bubble where he described quarantine.
