As Helene Elliott of the Times wrote the other day, this Clipper mantra is getting old. Tend to agree. But I gotta say that the one thing the team does continue to give us fans is hope. It’s just that you can’t deposit hope in the bank.

The adrenaline of being angry has worn off and seeing all the warts exposed and injuries on other teams has me dwelling on what could have been if we’d just gotten in. The one thing that keeps me going is that I don’t see any team out there for next year that we won’t have the edge on once healthy.
