I might add that Beverly and PG need to fully heal to make a full run in the Playoffs. By sitting them for a few weeks, these line ups would allow the “starters” enough time to play together before playoff time. Until Bev and PG return, Mcagruder and Coffey can be placeholders with the 2nd unit.

As a starter, I would expect that Jackson’s defense would be OK on a playoff-bound team with Doc as the coach given Jackson’s athleticism and freakishly long arms.

I’d do what you said, but maybe switch Morris with George. I’m guessing we’ll be looking at:

Jackson: Bev when he comes back
George
Leonard
Morris
Zubac

Lou
Shamet
Coffey: Maybe Jackson when Bev is back
Green
Trez

Good problems to have, provided Doc does what’s right and the players don’t get pissy about it.

KEY POINTS
– The Clippers’ winning percentage with both KL and PG is only slightly better when both play.
– Shamet is more effective when he doesn’t play with Lou
– Beverly has limited playmaking and scoring ability (more of a 3D player)
– Beverly and PG can help compensate for Lou’s lack of D
– PG can pick n roll with Trez or create offense for himself to avoid offensive stagnation or forced offense running through only Lou and Trez
– PG and KL are somewhat redundant where the ball needs to be in their hands to be most effective

The closeout / end of game line up is another story….
