I think all the hype is warranted BUT losing Collins is a HUGE loss for them.. To many, he may just be a role guy but he’s a damn good one who can do many things & gives them a different dynamic from the 4 position.. I still don’t think they’re a championship team with him but they’re not far off especially with Dames ability to go stupid hot.. They’re as dangerous as any team.. Houston with the addition of I rolling big who can shoot are also a scary team

Yeah, they’re ceiling is just limited with Dame (top-10) and CJ (top 25? 50?) as their two best. Still value especially for a small market to be consistently good.

Btw, disorienting watching the Rockets wearing baby blue unis (and court) playing the Kings in black.

I think they are similar to their 2018-2019 team, which I’ll give them credit for finishing 3rd in the conference (tied with 4th) and made it to the western conference finals. They basically got Covington this year to fill the Harkless/Aminu role from that team. But I don’t think anyone considered them a contender in 2018-2019 (mostly because the Warriors were the prohibitive favorite). And since 2018-2019, the Warriors are worse, but Lakers and Clippers are so much better (along with the Nuggets, Mavs, and other teams in the conference).

I wouldn’t be surprised if they finish like 4th or 5th in the West, but yes, still don’t really think they’re that strong of a contender for the title.

Yeah I’m from Portland and thus still follow them closely. They are like the Lob City Clippers in a continuous search for that star SF. I will say this. They may be better at finding quality role players in the draft than any team in the league. I hear that Olshey guy is pretty good.

4-1, best record in the West. But no Clipper is in the top ten in the league in any major statistical category. Really been more of a team success.

But then, no player has played many minutes … which may account for the lack of any statistical notoriety. And that’s a good thing for many reasons.
