So far the Lakers signing seem pretty uninspired. I assume they’ve all been minimum deals though and they still have their mMLE to use. Also still have to see what happens with Schroder.

Really surprised they didn’t bring back Caruso. Was that contract just too rich for them? With him hitting nearly 40% of 3’s this past season, I think he’s really developed into a solid 3&D guard that would be super useful. Really surprised they didn’t bring him back for what seems like a reasonable deal.

I don’t care how it is done, just keep him a Clipper. As for value, I am certain we would have given the Bucks a better run for their money with Kawhi, than the Suns ever did. An unlucky moment doesn’t change what he had offered up to that point.

Compared to what the Suns resigned CP3 (4 years for $120 M), the KL contract options are very fair. $120 M to CP3 — that crazy hot Phoenix sun has gotten to them crazy.

Good point, was thinking the team wouldn’t want to be taxpayers but given we don’t really have draft picks to tank for (though we still might be better than OKC even if we did tank) I don’t think Ballmer cares about money at this point.

Amazing that CP is now regarded highly enough that he opts OUT of a $44 mil option for one year. Two years ago that was considered the worst contract in the NBA, now he has a run against western teams without their best players and then gets swept 4 games. But he turns down $44 mil. and is trying to get what, am guessing 3 years $90 mil? unbelievable
