I’m hearing it’s for the TPMLE which means we are going to lose Hart, which is a downgrade at this point (who would have guessed you would rather have Hart than John Wall for ~6m a few years ago). However the Clips might be comfortable just going with Zu as the only true center, add a Javale McGee type for the minimum, and rolling with Batum, RoCo and Mook as small ball centers.

Dang didn’t expect this bomb to come this early. Figured it’d be something that might even have come after free agency to see how that shook out before a buyout and deal with Wall. I assume he doesn’t even need to wait until free agency, since this is a buyout/waivers rather than an expiring contract?

Have to assume if already announced then, it’s a minimum deal, since don’t think the Clips can spend the MLE until free agency right?

Woj bomb just dropped. He’s ours now. I think Reggie is still gonna start over him, but Wall will be a welcome addition either way – PG13’s connections helped get Reggie here, and now probably also helped get us Wall.

On a side of the good parts of having the absurd depth we got now is that we can probably afford to wrap the veterans in bubble wrap and do more load managing and still secure a decent seed for the playoffs. I’m looking forward to seeing what Wall’s got left in the tank, in a situation where we don’t need him to play 30 mpg.
