They play quite a good team defense.
And another aspect of his game that I think will help him get more playing time is playmaking.
If he can defend, score and set up for his teammates, even at just a bit better than league average. Coaches will find minutes for him.

His jumper looks nice and he’s skilled offensively, but he often looks like he’s rushing it (understandable, given his limited opportunities), but defense is more about effort than technique and he looks more comfortable on that front.
