That would be awesome to be able to retain everybody! I’m sure bet min for PP
Will be fine he hits some shots plays well with the team
I don’t know if other teams will cover him much but maybe I’m dead wrong.
RJ could resign for the mle if we have it and don’t need to offer it to somebody else? Cough cough ibaka/Gasol ring chasers/playable cousins some kinda center better then Noah ? Idk might not even need another C if jmike and Zu are our go too’s . Anyway I don’t think we have to have RJ next season obviously it would be a nice luxury though.
But yeah wasn’t sure cap wise so thanks for the info even if it’s not for sure 100% possible. But yeah my main point after reading this article is that jmike will be needed and will be up to him to stay or chase a better contract for him and his fam.

I’m always cautious commenting about these cap items but I think MM has a player option for $15 million and J-Myke for like $6 million. I believe Lucas once said that we can pay MM up to $18 million and stay within cap rules. For whatever reason we may not have this luxury with J-Myke who can test the market. Having said this Covid has seriously suppressed the cap so this probably isn’t the year for guys to go fishing for ambitious salaries. If we win it all Trez isn’t going anywhere and it seems like we should be able to keep the band together next season with Ballmer’s deep pockets. The only real questions are RJ and PP. Would RJ be willing to run it back for the MLE and might PP also feel the same way at the VM? Both are close friends of PG which doesn’t hurt. In any instance we have Mann and Fi waiting in the rings who could slot in nicely if any combination of RJ and/or J-Myke/PP decide to bolt.

If he can repeat his performance in the playoff like last year, we will be incredibly versatile.

I like J-MIke. Always have, he’s that asset you always want: a role player who does a lot for the team. This is why the Clips are successful this year. They have superstars, but get a ton of value out of the other guys.

During the early part of this season though he was pretty frustrating. Once per game he would receive the ball in the corner, fake the three and then step out of bounds with his push off foot. Every game! But he cleaned that up. the staff must have addressed it, or just said “Just shoot the damn ball J-Mike!”.

Gonna be interesting in FA how many of these guys we can retain?
I would think preference to the importance of the team
1. Trez 2. jmike 3. Morris
Dont know if we’ll be able to bring Morris back money wise if Trez gets huge raise
Jmike gets similar deal to last year or a little bump in raise. Morris might want to much. Hopefully we can resign pat Patterson to the min. In case 1 or 2 of Trez jmike Morris leave.
I tgink Morris is a better player then jmike
But I think jmike does more for our team then Morris if that makes sense?
