I don’t want to trade for any guys who can’t add value defensely. If Leonard is playing (which is necessary for a deep playoff run), our offense should be amazing. We don’t need any more scoring especially if it’s at the expense of our defense. If we’re doing a consolidation trade, I want the incoming player to be really good at defense, rebounding and passing more than I care about their ability to score.

I’d trade Reggie and/or MM before Norm simply due to age and remaining length of contract. There’s a higher chance of Norm improving and increasing his value as an asset on the Clippers than there is for Reggie or MM. Reggie and MM are peak value.

I don’t think teams are fooled by empty stats so easily these days. His +/- really tells a story and begs further investigation.

I was referring to the clipper squad compared to the lakers. Clippers are more talented yet being utilized by a coach whose too stubborn (or stupid) to realize certain rotations don’t work.

At this moment, I’m all for trading our guards (wall, norm) for some bigs so that you remove some of Ty’s favorite toys.

I didn’t watch the game so I can’t comment on the coaching, but as a default I definitely wouldn’t consider Spoelstra a dumb coach – did he do specific dumb stuff in this game? Or were you comparing the shorthanded Lakers to our coaching issues?
