Agree. Pat has already shown he’s still in rhythm, so I’d rather see him be healthy. If he’s fully healthy, by all means get some reps so the starters can further develop chemistry, but only if he’s fully healthy.

Yup. Caution with Pat this weekend, but otherwise not giving Portland a freebie just because they might take a R1 game off the Lakers. I think they’re more than good enough to get to 8th on their own. Rooting for Portland as the tougher 1-8 opponent is fun when there’s no trade-off, but it’s low-priority for us. I’d way rather win both of these games and put ourselves in a position to rest guys vs Denver, helping them fend off Houston in the race for 3rd (if necessary) and not showing them our tactics as likely 2nd round opponents.

I’d sit Pat Bev because of injury, but since there is such a short amount of time to get continuity and chemistry going, I would rather not see the Clippers try to tank this game. As much as I would love the Blazers to face the Lakers in the 1st round, I much more care about our ability to play through tough games and tough matchups
