We really stepped up against them.

I’m still convinced that if KD went down against us instead of against the raptors we could have beat that warriors team and made a run. We were so good, so balanced and so cool under pressure. I think that was my favorite clippers team ever. I love that we beat that Warriors team (one game) in a playoff series. They were fully loaded and one of the best teams of all time. We almost won a second game if I recall correctly.

Hopefully he will be enough of a defensive contributor so we can see some of his offense on the court.

Unplayable with Norm in my opinion, so he may start or Norm will.

If Mann starts, that second unit makes me very curious. But at least we have a backup center! 🙂

The FO seems to think like the rest of us on the issue and I don’t want to be too dismissive of the actual guys on the court as well as the one coaching them. Maybe they see/feel something that the rest of us don’t.

If he comes up to the top of the key or elbow he won’t be guarded closely and can receive a pass, and then is just simply better than Zu at making reads and advanced passes from that position (Zu has gotten better and can do some short roll/DHO stuff, but it’s not the same as hitting a bounce pass to a backdoor cutter from the elbow).

I also think that Pat/Lou were sort of the 2 most memorable figures on the 2019 team that was way better than expected and lost to GSW in the first round.

Even though Reggie was mostly solid as a Clipper and of course had his amazing playoff run in 2021, it just wasn’t quite the same because the fate of the team was always tied to PG/Kawhi. Pre-stars, the veteran leader role players (and Lou was that team’s best player anyway) were more central.

Still, Reggie is a Clipper for life. Too important to our biggest playoff run ever, too important to keeping us afloat last year with the star injuries, too much fun, too great with the fans for it to be anything otherwise.

Lou and Frank talk about trade deadline.
I still believe Lue knows what he’s doing.
This season and last is so different that even him as coach has to adapt tremendously.
He will be showing what he’s got in the last stretch of the season and beyond.
And Frank has made it clear again that all party involved are still just human beings.
Owner, FO, Coaches & players: all of them just try to do their best in their roles.
It may not be perfect but if things go in our way at the right time, we will have a chance.
And I think EJ & Plum will complement our team and contribute.
While Bones will be intriguing piece in the future for us.
Him & Boston will be so fun to watch. Surrounded them with the right guys and we have something to cheer for in a long time.

Like 14-13 second mark and it feels like they can never get into their secondary actions because of it. Plumlee should be very helpful if PG or Kawhi get doubled and they dump it off to him at the nail though. He’s a good passer and can make plays from there. If opponents can guard the stars straight up though? Oh god, it’s tough ISO shots over great defenders.
