PJ didn’t get here until the season already started, was already washed when he got here, immediately got playing time during which he demonstrated how washed he was, and then started whining to the media despite it being blatantly obvious to anyone w/ eyes that he shouldn’t be playing. And then even after ALL THAT, he STILL got another chance at minutes, and, surprise surprise, he’s still washed. If dude is still whining despite how he played against the Lakers he isn’t worth keeping around, even at the end of the bench.

More good than bad: Beat the #1 seed on the road. Defended Ant and KAT decently. Reduced the transition D issues (although that is not Minny’s strength anyway). Handled a clutch ending.

The bad: They really had some poor possessions down the stretch. Two in the last two minutes where one player handled the ball the entire 24 seconds and did not get a decent shot off. Fortunately, Minny did not capitalize on it.

Also, the Clips did not mouth off after the win like Minny did last time. But that’s the difference between a mature team and a young team.

Not sure what’s going on, hopefully not a long term health thing, but at least that would give him a little excuse. I’m hoping it’s just a prolonged slump that he will get out of one of these days, because 41%/30% shooting splits in February is just not going to get it done. They can be a good team with Kawhi being MVP level and Harden being a star playmaker, but to be the best team in the league, they really need all 3 playing like all-stars.

PG is so tough to value. At his best, he’s a top 15 guy in the league, and absolutely worth the max. But he does seem to always go through these multi-game stretches of mediocre play, where he’s an overpaid role player. I do think it’s tough to pay him the max, but he’s probably still viewed as a max player. Hopefully they can find a number under the max that works for both sides. I think he still wants to be here, so hopefully worst case is they let him get to free agency, and he lets the Clips match whatever deal he finds on the open market.

I agree that Zu also feels like he’s been less involved. Harden and Zu seemed to have a real connection in the pick and roll that’s been a little lost the past few weeks.

If he’s a distraction, just send him home, maybe you can use his expiring contract next summer.

I feel like Ty knows these kind of personalities, with PJ and Mook last year. I think he’s afraid that if he benches them or takes them out of the rotation he’s going to lose them completely. I kind of understood with Mook. While he certainly didn’t deserve to be starting, he at least had a history of solid shot making with the Clips that you felt he could contribute.

PJ has shown zero ability to help this team. The fact they used Kobe Brown over him with some success early on this year, has to show that they have zero reason to even have him “stay ready”. If PJ is going to sulk, let him sulk at home.

I would rather give the money to Harden first. He is more important to the team success than PG.

As others have mentions, we really need Coffey and T. Mann — for this to work.

Opportunity for those to stay ready. Look at Amir Coffey’s career with our team!

Good obs. about Bones’ great early play to make seem that Norm was not necessary, but glad that Norm is with us with his 6th Man of the Year campaign.

We have seen enough games with both Bones and Russ to figure out their strengths and weaknesses. The question — if both are healthy, who will Coach pick first off the bench to spell the Beard?

If Coach does pick Bones over Russ as primary back up point guard, Russ will not be a distraction. Russ may be a lot of emotions, but he knows the Championship is up for grabs, and Bones has to use this month to solidify his role on the team.

This Minn game showed that we can fix our roster problems with ball movement, great defense and the right personnel (Theis for Plums and Bones for Russ).

Since we got back from the Grammys trip, we have been in a funk — our problems really bubbled to the surface, other teams have figured out how to guard and disrupt our offense.

If our team plays the kind of defense that we showed in Minn, no matter how our shot is falling (or not), we can beat anyone in a 7-game series.

As shitty as I felt after last Wed’s game against the Lakers, I feel rejuvenated as a fan if we can duplicate our effort in Minn. On to face the Bucks!

Does his bum knee cause PG’s shooting woes? Would you give him a multi-year $49MIL contract? I wouldn’t.

Is Harden’s usage causing his shooting woes?

Bones brings stability to the 2nd unit. He isn’t a turnover machine which makes everything better. His shooting will come around sooner than we think. Hopefully, it’s tonight.

Have we seen the last of PJ Tucker? Hopefully yes. With Lue, you never know.

Theis has always been the correct choice between Plumlee & Theis.

To me, the Clippers decline started when they stopped going to ZU. The Clippers are at their best when Zu gets 12 to 15 points.

Good win. Need another tonight.

Yes a little disappointing how they came out, but still a win on the road against the #1 seed in the West. I know I keep saying it, but previous years, felt like the Clips could never get wins against the best teams in the league. While still Clips have struggled against Minny and OKC this year, it’s still great to finally pull one out.

Definitely curious how the team will look with Bones in and Russ out. I’ve been on the boat that this is a move that SHOULD have been considered all season, but obviously wasn’t going to happen given Russ’ stature on this team. Now forced into this situation, I really think it has the potential to give a boost to that bench unit, but Russ also brought so much “unstatable” contributions in energy, aggression, and leadership, will be curious how this plays out over the next few weeks.

I hope we do see some more good Bones games. He did come out of the gate this year playing great in the few October games when he was given a defined role. Small sample size (4 games), but 16 points a game on 49/46/75 shooting splits in October was a heck of a start to the season. Made Norm feel pretty expendable after those few games. Unfortunately, outside of those 4 games, been pretty much the season of hell for Bones. Hopefully a more consistent role and we see that Bones come back, or at least back to his career averages. Obviously a lot to see before Russ comes back, but I hope Russ isn’t automatically given back those minutes if Bones plays well…. unlikely.

Kawhi just need to stay healthy and we always have a chance.
If this is the bad PG & Harden game, I would take it.
Lastly, I love what we have in T-Mann & Coffey.
If we can somehow go all the way, these guys will absolutely make us proud.
I hope Kobe, Jordan, Moose or any young guys look up to them and work their way up like these guys do.
