I’d be fine if the only transaction the FO pulled off at the deadline was offloading PJ and Bones. Wouldn’t be happy, but I’d be fine. I’d much rather prefer this than giving up any more 1sts.

Would love either of those guys but Ainge is a tightwad and the Pacers are pretty good so we’re probably not able to pry those guys loose.:-(

Have to remain humble and aim for the Bouchers of the world.

We just don’t have much trade capital left and I’m not willing to move anymore picks. The idea of even moving second rounders is getting scary.

Agree that the stage has been set for us to knock off the bucks. Zu is bad news for Giannis and our POA guys might wreck the rest of their squad. Not cocky but hopeful.

I want a John Collins or Myles turner type and I guess I don’t understand trading Mann now if we didn’t before? Plus really don’t understand playing everyone tonight instead of last night? Isn’t that like the yanks resting vs the dodgers and playing its starters vs the bad news bears? Just seems like overkill and bucks may be ripe for a blowout tomorrow with their crazy travel schedule this past week.

I feel like Mann+PJ is probably the likely package for any $20 million target. Mann has the most name ID and will help any team regardless of need. I think we can target some $11 million guys without putting Mann in that deal but might need to include a 2nd. There’s always risk in any trade but this team is better than you or I thought it would be so they probably have to do something.

I thought Zu was the best contract in the league but DJJ may eclipse that. The NBA is really kind of sucking right now and Clippers fans should be thankful that we are one of the few really interesting stories. I’ll take it.

Clips brought their D game in the 2nd half, but that was enough when you’re playing the Wizards. It won’t be anywhere near enough against Giannis on Saturday, so hopefully Ty gives them an earful and they take it to heart. I have no idea who we’re going to put on GIannis, but I’m guessing it’s gonna be primarily Zu, and we’ll try to have like Harden or Norm on Brook Lopez w/ a quick trigger on help. I’m not optimistic about our matchup – we have no real PF, and we’re going up against the best PF/C in the league – but Dame is abysmal on defense, and Doc is still Doc, so maybe we can figure out a way to pull out a win. Having Dunn back would sure help keep Dame in check, so hopefully he’s recovered by Saturday.

If only Mo could play like this every night, then we wouldn’t need an upgrade at PF/C…but, well, here we are. My trade targets for PF/C would be Chris Boucher, Kelly Olynyk, Steven Adams, Day’ron Sharpe, Neemias Queta (who we got a good look at already). Most of these dudes should be available for not that much, so hopefully the FO can make something happen.

For backup PG I’d target DLo, Collin Sexton, and Cam Payne. Unfortunately I don’t really see very many PGs who are available, and both DLo and Sexton are gonna cost a pretty penny (probably have to give up Mann at least), so I’d really rather prioritize backup PF/C than backup PG.

Not sure who has to do more heavy lifting: the NBA propping up the Lakers by giving them a cakewalk of a schedule even though we don’t even share a building w/ them anymore, or the NFL ordering refs to call roughing the passer anytime someone breathes on Patrick Mahomes.

Re: Capela for Mann – I can see the logic, but he’s a FA this summer while Mann is on a longer term deal, so I wouldn’t really wanna do this unless we’re also getting some kinda draft compensation back. I like the idea though. Capela’s a good type of target.
