PG cut his TOs a bit–from six to two. Bravo. Before the game, he said that he needed to take better care of the ball. The first step to accomplishing a goal is to say it out loud. If PG could indeed limit those giveaways, there’d be no holding him or the team back.

Always have had a soft spot for the Wizards. A lot of former Clippers and Vice Versa have played and worked for the two franchises. So if the Wizards want to keep that pipeline going, they do have an injury exception that could fit Fi.

That Zu poster on Bertans was awesome. I realize Bertans isn’t a good defender, but Zu just plowed straight through him – this was the kind of dunk in traffic that I’ve been missing w/ the game largely shifting to the 3-point line. Also I’ll give credit to Bertans for at least trying to make a play. Too many guys would make a “business decision” in that situation, so I wanna make sure to give him some props for the effort.

After a slow start to the season, it looks like Mann is living up to and exceeding our hopes for him – it’s been great watching him blossom over the last couple weeks.

3rd quarter Kawhi was kind of concerning, given that he looked kind of gassed (all his shots, including his FTs, were flat and short), but he came out and re-established himself in the 4th.

Speaking of concerning, Serge has me worried. I feel like defensively he’s still alright at the rim, but his lateral movement is shot, and if his jumpers aren’t falling (and worse, if he’s hesitant to take the open shots a la Kennard), I don’t see how they can justify splitting the C minutes evenly between him and Zu. Zu should be getting more minutes overall, but Serge been around the block a few times and I have confidence he’ll recover from this latest funk.

All-in-all a fun (and scary at times) game, and I’m glad we caught the Wizards on the 2nd night of a B2B – they’re better than their early season reputation.

Serge is just playing like crap right now. Zu has been better but I don’t want to get too much of a sugar high off of one game against Wagner. Let’s see how the two Memphis games versus Valenciunus and the Bucks game on sunday go. If Zu can hold his own in those three games I’ll take stock in that. That tomahawk by Zumight be his most thrilling play ever. Great stuff.

That was a fun one especially in the 4th. Seeing Zu and Mann blossom is such a joy and the team genuinely seems to like one another. The Fi jab step 3 and the bench reaction was classic.
