Maybe we got the fresher version of the warriors.

He was impressive during the stint when Lue was out, and before that I didn’t realize how important he is to the team. Van Gundy had an obvious impact, and seemed notable from the beginning of training camp. The Clippers are an impressive group from top to bottom, primed to show off in their new arena.

He looks locked in. I’ve not been his biggest fan but when you look around the league with all the firings and newbie coaches, the Clippers probably have an advantage over most teams with the Lue-Van Gundy-Shaw coaching staff.

That’s great news for LAC. Having him healthy for the playoffs enables us to play our best defensive/net rating lineups for key stretches of games.

Not making any predictions about these playoffs simply because we Clipper fans have been stung too much by the health issue over the years. But I do know that we have the best half court offense and defense in this tournament, and there really isn’t a team out there that wants to face us if we’re taking care of the ball and avoiding fast break points off TOs.

People mention it with with Paul George, who made it look extra brilliant by playing a major role in the PHI train wreck. Creating space for Norm, bringing in Dunn and DJJ, opening up Harden and Zu. But Westbrook keeps getting left out of the AbS conversation, and that was just as important. Ironic to be facing RWB in this first round series, and it’s a concern. But we lived through a horrendous Westbrook epoch, and maybe matching up against him on DEN will be a just reward.

And there was one more highly significant Addition by Subtraction beat, that’s more subtle and perhaps painfully remembered only by the faithful citizens–the KPJ experience. Ty Lue went out of his way (884 minutes out of his way, to be exact; #9 on the LAC roster in minutes played) to establish KPJ as an NBA rotation player, and now his role and play on the Bucks with Lillard out is highly entertaining. It was a major subtraction element that really helped turn LAC into a juggernaut.

Kawhi is back. I’m enjoying his play. He looks fabulous. the AllStar

Harden. I had a completely wrong opinion regarding him. He’s been the leader of the team without question.

Norm hasn’t been right since the All-Star game. Hopefully the week off does him wonders.

What about DJJ and Kris Dunn (Providence College Friar)? Their defense means everything. Dunn looks like he is taking an extra beat on his 3’s, and he’s been very effective.

I expect Bogi to have an excellent series against Denver.

Zu will hold his own against Jokic. I expect Zu to have a big series.

The FO did its job. LF made the right moves.

In my opinion, Lue did a great job this year. I’ve been a critic of Lue throughout the years, but not this year.

Addition by substraction worked.

I’m glad we don’t have to deal with that.
Rest up and get ready for the rock fight with the Nuggets.
It will be a great first round series.
