Morris looked slow but his shot was on. DO NOT GET KAWHI MAD. Example, tonight. Dude is nice but if you really get under his skin, watch out. Overall, well played game. I actually like Morris coming off the bench until he gets back into shape.

Well that was a super frustrating game up until the Clips FINALLY decided to get serious in the 4th quarter.

Wish they could stay locked in more consistently, but at least they showed they could turn it on when it mattered.

GSW was really hungry and hustled their asses off trying to win in but thankfully we just overwhelmed them in the 4th.

A few key positives:

1) Nic Batum is a god. Seriously like build this guy a statue at the new stadium. So smart, so clutch, plays solid D, the perfect complement to the starting lineup. He has to be the greatest min signing in NBA history. Hopefully Mook sticks with the bench unit moving forward as they needs his offensive creation anyway.

2) The starting 5 is a defensive nightmare for other teams when they lock in. They had Steph in jail all night long. And in the 4th quarter they put the serious clamps down on GSW. Like seriously, the worst of the 5 at defense is Ibaka and when he’s not being lazy he’s no slouch.

3) I liked seeing Kawhi and PG attacking the paint late and either getting to the stripe or kicking it out for open 3’s. Much better than them dancing around at the top of the key and shooting contested jumpers.

And key negative:

1) Bench unit continues to be a disaster and just chokes away leads when they comes in with amazing consistency. Mook helped a little but not much, hopefully he’ll be better with the bench when he gets in synch. Lou’s been pretty ineffective on both ends, and Zu has been awful. Kennard was OK. Reggie actually played pretty well. And T. Mann? Well he’s clearly not ever going to be an NBA caliber player.

Good effort by the starters in the 4th. That second unit is our downfall. I’m loving the Kawhi/MF DOOM mask. RIP DOOM
