Bev’s got strengths for sure. Maybe I am selling him short. Availabily aside, I keep looking at his paltry assist numbers and his inability to create offense for himself and think those outweigh the positives.

If it fits, you must acquit. Bev is a perfect fit with the starters and every other option is too flawed.

I think you’re selling Bev short – Bev is a great shooter, plays tough defense, and is a good rebounder considering his size.

That being said, Bev’s importance to the team is definitely magnified due to how deficient Lou, Reggie, and Luke are in those areas – so Bev’s even more important because we don’t have anyone else who can do the things he does by himself. Reggie and Luke can shoot comparably to him but can’t defend. Mann can defend (not as well as Bev, but he’s decent) and rebound, but isn’t as good of a set shooter.

Also, was that a small on “small” PnR with Lou and Kawhi where Lou set the pick and then rolled into the lane for a wide open jumper? Maybe I imagined things.

Bevs importance: This team can acquit (there’s a legal term for ya) itself nicely with Reggie, Luke, Mann and Lou at that spot. Bev’s undersized, fouls a lot, not a great assist man, shoots the ball no better than the others. He’s tenacious on D but that tenacity seems to be his injury undoing.
