Can’t believe we lost by 20 to these frauds. On to the Pelicans I guess. I may turn the game off if Ty tries to put Kawhi or DJ on Zion.

Adam Ausland suggested it and he’s generally been a defender of the Lue Administration (at least online). I think the criticisms from Clipper Nation are seeping through to the F.O. and the coaching staff.

LAC doesn’t have the media network and ecosystem that the Lakers do, where the national media and local media scrutinize and pile on like an English Premier League team, but I do think our fanbase is making its presence felt b/c Ballmer has really tried to build up that brand loyalty, which behooves the organization to listen to the fans.

I suspect Harden and Kawhi are giving feedback to Lue about their energy levels, and Zu is talking a lot more about getting the ball.

Speaking of ball handlers, Russ has made his way into Sacramento and might be displacing Dennis Schroeder. If Schroeder gets a buy out, he’d be a good backup guard for LAC to consider. Right now, I see our biggest issue as ball security. Our shooting percentage from 3 is low b/c we’re not getting enough rhythm shots as we keep fumbling the ball around and have bad spacing.

Not playing T. Mann.

Microball.

In each of the 2 losses, they sent 2 and 3 guys at Harden. They want the ball out of his hands. When he doesn’t have the ball, bad things happen. Also, no one seems to be helping him out. No cuts. All I see are screens near halfcourt. The offense has no cohesion. It’s a hot mess.

CP3 looks washed out. He does have moments, but not enough of them.

John Collins should be starting. He should be playing 30 to 35 minutes. He should be paired with Zu, not Lopez.

I can’t stand Lue as a coach. It seems like he goes out of his way to handcuff the Clippers. Some call it tinkering. I call it sabotage. His moves make no sense at all. We are reliving the days of Marcus Morris.

More Dunn. Leonard needs to play SF.

They look like a 50-50 team. I hope I am wrong. Maybe a play in spot.

I don’t think any of us believed we could really contend for a title this year, but we were excited by the offseason moves because we thought they would result in a lot of regular season wins and a fun ride if nothing else. So you boast to your friends that the Clippers might be dangerous and all that fun only to have terrible decisions made so you look like an idiot.

There’s an argument to be made that the Jazz were at home and are young and talented and that’s a snake pit to play in. So their somehow beating us wasn’t out of the realm of possibility. But getting stomped like that by what was basically 40? I know a loss is a loss over 82 games but when regular season wins are all you realistically can hope for that’s pretty devastating.

Unlike a lot of people I don’t believe the Warriors are very good. They are also old but not as deep. We were also favored to win that game too and if it had come down to the wire like game 82 last season and they’d won it would have been fine. But more terrible decisions and we got humiliated again and of course all the gadflies are now crowning them a champions. When you’ve gone through all the bullshit we fans have, and people are pissing all over your team because of this aspiration scam there’s a yearning to get some dignity out of winning.

We can’t be tinkering for 10 games and demoralize the locker room further. If Ty doesn’t figure this out stat Kawhi and other players are going to grouse and he will be outta here. These two losses may have already cost us a top four seed with the emergence of San Antonio. Remember the dumb losses early last season? Nuff said.

So, obviously, this is a team wide effort. The guys without the ball have to come and help — be available. As Coach K says, this goes back to the fundamentals. Can you say press break or trap break? The problem is that pros by and large think they’re beyond going back to the fundamentals. That where coaching comes in to tell them they need to be better and show them how.

There are two guys who come to mind who I don’t trust in the ball security dept.: Bogi and DJJ. Handles are weak, one handed passes, pockets easily get picked. They are who they are at this point. They can bail out a trapped ball handler (and then rid of it) but don’t let them be the primary. Frustrating to watch losing possession opps.
