OT: G-League Clips’ highlight a couple days ago.
At 5:25, Harkless throw alley-oop pass to Flowers and he flush it hard. Dude got serious hop.
Pair him with DJJ and all we need to do is just throwing it up for them to slam it down.
We might actually have Lob City 2.0 waiting to be unleashed.

The rub is that many of these older players are kind of like peers of his and he has a difficult time sitting them for this reason. With KPJ it’s two fold. He’s Balmer’s pet project and Ty also is hoping he can become an offensive weapon—which in fairness we desperately need.

Both Tyler Herro and LaVine are torching the league right now. Two guys many of us thought would be great targets for this team. Chicago was trying to give LaVine away last summer and Miami wanted PG pretty badly. So a three team sign and trade deal would likely have been possible. Imagine Herro, Harden, LaVine, Zu and Kawhi with the Kris Dunn deal still possible. Nico probably would have still signed for the VM and then round out the team with Coffey, Mann, Bones, Miller et al.

THIS would be a contender. Does this front office have any imagination whatsoever?

That’s great line, both in basketball term and life in general.
T-Mann will figure things out. He plays to win games and do it with his teammate.
I really proud of him, Coffey and Zu (to some extent).
We are notorious for not giving young guys playing time. But those 3 are the prove that if you keep working hard in your role and stay ready, chances will come and you have to make it worth.
This is such a fun season. Hope it continues.

John Wall, Marcus Morris, Russell Westbrook, PJ Tucker, and now KPJ playing minutes they clearly should not while players like Robert Covington, Bones Hyland, and now Jordan Miller rot on the bench. The assistant coaches have to see this nonsense. I don’t understand why the FO, players, and asst. coaches keep letting him get away with this.

Perhaps the Clippers are beginning to establish some identity and enthusiasm playing at home–this game seems like it might have been a big step in that direction.

Lots of great elements in this one. Mainly it was the Clippers staying focused and energetic most of the way. Hitting 3s helped, although they missed a number of good looks that would have pushed their lead and made it tougher for GSW to mount their rally. It’s great to see Terance making plays, Norm heating up again, Zu dominating the boards, Harden putting up a gaudy assist number, Amir and Kris Dunn contributing.

It takes time to get used to new roles and increased usage. It’s no easy feat for Zu to become such a significant option, and for 20 point games to be routine for him, rather than rare. Norm and Zu both seemed ready to break out, as expected. Terance was slow, which seems odd, but he’s really good and he’ll find a way and a role.

Bamba’s arrival certainly seems promising. It will be really interesting to see what his role and contribution looks like once he’s got 10 games under his belt. The funny part is that the Clippers have a level of solid reserves that goes beyond this rotation–we’ve only seen glimpses of JMiller, Bones, and KBrown, but they seem like they’re all ready to play. Force-feeding KPorter Jr. on us has been a trial, but it might work out well, it’s hard to say. Nice to get the last two wins, after the road trip funk.

I’m not exactly sure why it makes a difference (versus Terance), but it seems real. There are a lot of Harden-KPJ minutes too (2nd half of the first quarter). TMann is bringing force and making plays coming off the bench, so I guess it’s working.

If there really is some sort of pressure release and the assist numbers stay high and Harden can do less and be more effective, the next beat would be for his shooting %s to go up. It’s worth noting that his rebounding has been fantastic, well above Paul George level. Bamba joining in looks like it’s going to be a significant boost for Clipper rebounding, not a moment too soon.

The younger teams with long athletic wings make us old and slow.

We need to adjust.

Great win.

Totally didn’t deserve to win considering how many bricks and brain farts in last 2.5 min, but win is a win.

In that last min of play, we need guys to step up (that’s you T. Mann!).

See your future, be your future!
