Ty’s confidence in Kobe is unwarranted IMO. It’s one preseason game but Kobe looks lost and is not a PF and not a great rebounder and not a good shooter and if Batum is out any amount of time then for a 2nd year in a row we have no PF’s. L Frank did fine with who he brought in, and I like Dunn/DJJ and KPJ (from a basketball perspective) but none of them are PF’s which we had none last year and only got Batum this year. I’m hoping Norm starts to up his trade value so we can get something in return even though we need his scoring. It’s all preseason but that problem is a repeat of last season as we need someone who can rebound outside of Zu.

Man I like Kobe, but he’s looked rough so far. If he can’t back down guys in the post (he couldn’t even get through Buddy Hield earlier), and can’t knock down open, set corner 3s, I struggle to see how he gets any non-garbage time minutes.

I wanna see some Jordan Miller in the 4th.

A lot to like in the first half. First off Harden is better than PG which we all knew in his prime but he’s still got it. Zu is what we hoped for and could turn out to be the best contract in the league if this is the new normal. Norm is still Norm and can get buckets. Dunn is a pest but has no reliable handle and we saw why he isn’t a starter. Porter just stands out as special on many ways. He’s making an effort on defense so that start in terms of being a team mate. I like the confidence Ty has in Kobe. Great to see bones get some run. DJJ will have to slowly find his niche. Kai had a few almost good moments. Hope to see Amir in the second half?

I want to see some James + Zu PnR, James + DJJ lobs for 10 minutes. Then let’s see Mann, Coffey, Miller and Dunn ball out! KPJ and Kai need to show if they can contribute. Bones needs to simply up his trade value. Lastly, Tucker needs to show his cheerleading skills on the bench to up his trade value.
