But didn’t get a chance? He had a legit shot to essentially take Russ’ spot after his injury, couldn’t hold onto it long enough to even fill in for the entire time Russ was out, and has been *phenomenally* unprofessional since then.

Plus we aren’t even the first team he’s done this to. He (allegedly) had issues w/ Mike Malone of all people, and demanded minutes ahead of Jamal Murray. He’s clearly got NBA-level skills and could be good eventually, but he needs to go to a rebuilding team w/ a coach who can actually get him to buy in, because it’s shocking how bad/disruptive he is when he isn’t bought in, and it’s clear he wants no part of playing good soldier if it means he isn’t getting significant minutes. Really an unfortunate situation, but I’m not really blaming Ty for this.

While he’s still very good at some stuff, Russ isn’t the all-world all-NBA MVP guy anymore – he can’t cover up his weaknesses with overwhelming athleticism and grit. Russ is like an exceedingly precise, and ridiculously sharp, custom-manufactured scalpel…that Ty is using not only for surgery, but also for prying open jars, hammering nails, flipping burgers, reaching that thing that fell behind the cabinet…

PJ Tucker still sucks.

Get Russ back and we will see what happens.

Bones’ career with the Clippers is essentially over. He never had a chance with Lue. Hopefully, the Clippers do right by him and send him to a team that will give him an honest opportunity.

Lue has Doc disease. He just will not play a young player. Boston, Jr. and Kobe should have played more.

This team remains an un-fun team to watch.

DT and PJ are no Batum or even Roco, sadly. But those two play hard, can set some screen and box out.
Zu is a really good center. Norm is a good scorer and Russ is a fighter. And Plum can have a good game once in a while.
I mean, there are flaws everywhere if we try to pick on and size is still a factor in some match up we need to face.
BUT if our Big 3 are considerably Healthy and in their form , T-Mann & Coffey play to their potential and the other next guys make good plays more than bad ones. We still have a chance.
We play better with underdog mentality. Let’s see how it goes.

I don’t think there’s much damage Bad Russ can inflict that a great Harden can’t overcome. If we get Great Russ in at least 1-2 playoff games per series, we can win the chip.

Still this hybrid combo of PJ and DT — this crazy combo might work in the inevitable small ball configurations.

In the 2nd game in Portland, PJ was in the corner, the defender flew by him, but PJ checked his footing, concentrated and nailed the 3pt shot. PJ is not lacking any confidence. (Big difference from Marcus Morris last year).

JMac is right — this Playoffs run is going to be wierd.

But, for us to advance, the open guys (PJ, Russ or anyone we put out there) — someone is going to be open after the doubling on Kawhi or PG, and that someone has to make the open 3.

Let’s just monitor our and other games box scores to see. I know I’m repeating myself, but there were four important games last night and the teams that hit more threes won all four. I’ve noticed this for awhile and just thought it was a corollary, but I’m starting to believe it may be that simple at this juncture. How a team defends the three would obviously also factor in.

This is going to be a weird playoffs.
