The BAE is pro-rated, so it doesn’t quite have the buying power at this stage that it normally would. And even if they used it to outbid other teams who are just offering the minimum–who is really out there that would require that kind of investment?

Clippers keep getting mad-disrespected on ESPN in their power rankings. There is no way that we the 5th best team in the NBA at the current moment (#1 record in the last month). Apparently the loss to the Sixers where we were missing Kawhi, Ibaka, and Bev keeps us down and vaults them up to the #1 spot. Not that I actually think it matters for our team because we do better under the radar. In contrast, 538 really, really likes our chances in the playoffs (we’re far and away the best team by their ranking) and it’s giving me a somewhat unrealistic dose of optimism.

This team is absolutely thrilling, whether we go all the way or not. My favorite Clippers squad ever, and there have been some great ones. Love the coaching change and how Lue is the anti-Doc, not tossing unfavored players into a doghouse if they screw up/are not preferred veterans, not making hockey-line substitutions, reacting right away instead of freezing like a deer in headlights when the opponent starts a run. Someone else mentioned that it’s 90% players, 10% coaching, which I thought was a good observation. But to me the coaching factor has been important this season.

It had a parting gift feeling ala Lou Williams scoring milestone game ball which he received before he was shipped out. Perhaps the Yogi Ferrell rumors are true and the Clippers will sign him. Any game where we can play Oturu cousins luke Coffey and Mann/fitts for the entire 4th quarter is indeed a great game!!
Cousins playmaking gonna bare fruit, his smash mouth pick he set in which he got called for the offensive was sheer brutal ness !! Lol his take to the rack that he called for the offensive was kinda bullshit call, he so big and strong he’s gonna get a a lot of calls against him. Would of been top ten highlight if he finished that yam!
His passing was nice to the cutters especially oturu who he himself showed some promise and cutting ability .
Great game! Pg13 keep on keep on proud of him.

Totally. Was just going to post something similar so thanks for beating me to it. This team is flat out stacked. Virtually every personnel move we’ve made has turned to gold and I think Cousins will be the next one to bear fruit. Love it that we finally have a no bullshit nerd genius for a coach. Am finally going to start counting my chickens before they hatch. Poor blazers Tuesday. My home town. Sad.

I realize the T’Wolves are bad this season, but I’m actually really happy w/ this win. The T’Wolves have a ton of talent and a bad record – that’s normally the recipe for a trap game, but the Clips came out and manhandled them. Taking care of business against teams you’re supposed to beat is a sign of a contender, and I like the way the team is gelling right now.
